How it goes
Check
Moisture, damaged boards, and how much wood is left to sand.
Sand
A full sanding to bare wood. Damaged boards replaced where needed.
Color
Stain samples on your actual floor before we commit.
Finish
Two to three coats of polyurethane.
Cure
Light foot traffic after 24 to 48 hours.
Plan around it
- Stay off. Keep off the floors while the work is under way.
- Rugs and furniture. Keep heavy pieces and rugs off for 7 to 14 days while the finish cures.
- In writing. A written contract, signed before any work starts.
